lala & eric | "canvas" trailer

our last trailer before we go on hiatus for all of 2018 and lala & eric's wedding is letting us go out with a bang. so much raw and genuine emotion, feelings, and happy tears just burst out of their video. and we felt the canvas analogy they used in their ceremony as well as this song fit the heartbeat of their wedding perfectly. so many unique personal touches and an awesome vendor team brought this wedding and video to life. we're so glad to call lala & eric friends and are happy to share this moment in time with them.

krystal & don | “analog” wedding trailer

we’re coming up on the last of our wedding trailers for 2017 (possibly ever?) and we plan on going out with a bang with krystal & don. we called this one “analog” for many reasons. krystal and don are avid (and awesome) film photographers, the music that fit their mood and venue perfectly, but most of all the kindness and love that krystal and don naturally and organically display. you could sense it during the whole day. and it definitely shines in this video.

maisie & danny | "effortless" wedding trailer

we're calling this piece "effortless," because it describes the maisie, danny and the wedding perfectly. maisie and danny effortlessly made this video look this good. we had so much fun with them throughout the process, filming their entourage video and wedding was a breeze. because we had so much great footage, the trailer was so easily put together and edited. from the unique 'first touch' to their sparkler send off, enjoy watching this beautiful couple through it all. venues & vendors

maisie & danny | “fade” entourage

collaborated with this stylish couple to create a video to introduce their entourage. maisie & danny rented a cool downtown studio and we pretty much had a party. we took their song idea and went cutting edge to incorporate the "fade" theme, then mixed in a couple songs to get the guests' excitement level up. we think we’ve got another masterpiece on our hands.

had to put out a hot trailer to match this couple. throughout the day rosy & calvin always made us feel at home and it took no effort for them to look good in front of the camera and create beautiful images. we're so thankful to be able to film and edit their wedding. loved editing with this soundtrack as it captured the feel, pacing and emotion; so much dimension and range. enjoy! venues & vendors

FEATURED: deric & tanya | "dream sequence" grand entrance

we did it all: shot in a shooting range, tear-gassed in the middle of nowhere, slammed in the boombox crossfit gym. one of the most memorable shoots for good friends. as a special gift, we wanted to tell their story. the shots came out so surreal, it felt like a dream. without further ado, here is the grand entrance video to introduce the deric & tanya, "dream sequence."

robert & jill | "the dark and the light" wedding trailer

from the beginning, robert & jill always encouraged us to be as creative and edgy as we wanted. although we thought we had a great concept and vision going into their wedding day, it was the improvisation, true emotion, candidness and happy accidents that made this concept even greater.

we wanted to incorporate a recurring theme of shadows and harsh light but when you witnessed this couples beautiful, emotional day and understood what was going into it, it became much more. on the surface it’s the cool silhouettes, contrasty shots, and unconventional, sort of grim love song but when you dig a little deeper, you find the correlation of the theme with interracial marriage, robert’s story of believing he would never marry, jill being the exception, their relationship to God and biblical references, the gospel feel of the theme and music, the progression of the shots from dark to light, and how the music ties everything together. we hope you enjoy experiencing this intricate video as much as we did creating it.

jenny & mark | "parallels" wedding trailer

one central theme to jenny & mark's wedding other than their obvious love for each other was shapes/geometry. so not only did we incorporate some cool, one-of-a-kind video light tracing to draw up shapes but we felt that "parallels" was the perfect name for this trailer. not only were parallels drawn with lines in footage and transitions to move with feel and lyrics of the music but if you look carefully, it was also edited to draw parallels between the different scenes and shots during the day. we like to keep pushing the boundaries of the "wedding video" and we think the result on "parallels" pretty epic; just like jenny and mark's wedding day.

phil & rhea | "surprise yourself" wedding trailer

sometimes ideas just hit you out of nowhere. sometimes a mistake or footage not intended for use end up creating something totally amazing. for phil & rhea we played with speed using everything from rewinds, speed ramps, holds and fast forwards to create something totally unique to showcase a wedding full of great moments and little surprises. "surprise yourself," and watch for all the little nuances.

mostra coffee | concept

we're excited to showcase this collaboration recently done with mostra for their 2nd anniversary. the theme for the video is the definition of mostra: the performance. we lit the scenes as if they were on stage to showcase just how much technique, skill and beauty go into the setup, the roast and the pour or final product. with the team having artistic backgrounds, we felt the classical soundtrack was the perfect fit for this dramatic piece.

FEATURED WEDDING: sherwin & janissa | manhattan beach wedding

their format, their style, their wedding...all original. one big party with everyone dressed to the t in a spectacular event for this manhattan beach wedding. what made it even more special for us was getting the chance to really get to know sherwin & janissa by spending time with them prior in filming their grand entrance and entourage video. it just made the day that much more special. from the tears and laughs to dogs and rap, it was all a blast.

we recently had the opportunity to photograph rochelle & sumner's wedding in beautiful fallbrook. the morning was filled with a good sense of calm and a lot of excitement. the venue showcased what fallbrook was all about and the reception details fit the jetsetting couple perfectly. they're a sweet and real couple that made this wedding so fun to photograph.
